Resilience, Community Action and Societal Transformation
Resilience, Community Action and Societal Transformation is the first book released by Transition Research Network. It collects presentations and an open space write-up from the Transition-themed parallel session at the Resilience 2014 Conference in Montpellier, France, held by the Resilience Alliance, along with related papers presented elsewhere in the conference and a few gathered from elsewhere.
The book combines first-hand accounts, primary documentation, original analysis and global vision on the theory and practice of community resilience, and recognised as a landmark study in the resilience field. The second release in the ECOLISE book series Community-Led Transformations, published by Permament Publications, it also involves Transition Network and Lisbon University as publication partners.
Print copies of the book can be purchased from independent suppliers Green Shopping (UK), Chelsea Green (USA), local independent bookshops in the UK, or the usual online retailers. Below you will find downloadable pdf versions of chapters from the books and links to interviews with contributors conducted by Gesa Maschkowski, co-editor of the book, and Celayne Heaton-Shrestha.
