One of the key aims of the Transition Research Network is to find ways of linking up researchers and transitioners so that they can develop projects that are beneficial to both. For Transitioners, academic research can help build an evidence base, spread knowledge about best practice and support goals identified by transitioners. While for academics, working with Transition Initiatives promises that chance to explore a range of cutting edge issues to do with grassroots innovations, community-based responses to climate change, resource depletion, economic instability and much more.
The key question is how we can support those who are looking for partners in their proposed research.
During 2013, the team trialled a Research Marketplace as a possible solution. This trial period has now come to an end and we will be closing the Marketplace while we take stock and evaluate.
In the meantime if you would like help with developing a project or with finding suitable partners please email us and we'll do our best to help.
